About Us

Kansas City Law Enforcement Accountability Project (KCLEAP) is a community-based investigating and victim advocacy agency focused on local police violence, law enforcement accountability and victim/family support. Since 2021, KCLEAP has investigated multiple shootings and non-lethal use of force cases, and worked to support those victims and their families in multiple capacities. We DO NOT work with the police. All witnesses can remain anonymous, and we do not identify witnesses without their permission. Community trust is paramount, and all members/volunteers must sign a non-disclosure agreement.
